… Her hair smelled heavenly today. I was overwhelmed! I wanted to say so much to her. But I said nothing. Absolutely nothing! I was speechless, dumbfounded with her quintessential Beauty. To top it all, she wore black! I was as close to her as possible, all the time. I was constantly looking at her, without blinking.. hoping I’d print it in my mind, indelibly. The best moment- when she hugged me while going, I wanted the sands of time to stop right then and there. For one last time, I took a swift, deep breath to carry that mane-smell forever with me. As usual, it was the tightest of all hugs I’ve ever got.

I saw her departing as long as I could. And I know she knew it; just as she was about to loose my sight[and I her’s].. she waved the final adieu. I was ecstatic. Subtle rays of hope still lingering around…

If ‘You’ know what ‘We’ mean..

I saw Scent of a Woman yesterday. Boy! The best visually challenged role I’ve ever witnessed! Al Pacino is growing on me[actingwise, I mean 😉 ]. I end up being his fan more and more, each time I see any of his flicks. Nonetheless, this is not about the movie. I was just vivisecting with one of my other friend of all Oscar Winning movies. And we came up with two things- Dialogues, and the way they are delivered. Sure shot ingredients of any award winning movie.. except, ofcourse.. some immaculate and superb acting by all the characters. So here it goes…

The day we stopped looking my boy is the day we die!

The News

This is what I call news! I switched over to The Hindu very recently.. and before I knew it, my decision was totally right[for a change, coz I’m not actually used to it you see].

Remember some ‘Geetanjali Nagpal’? Yes! That super model of yester years whom drugs annihilated, perhaps suicidally. Whatever! Why do we have to care so much? This was not the only case of drug abuse witnessed. And there are still zillions of acute despondent people, living in all the more acute penury. Why do news-paperwallahs bring that into forefront, if they so much want to do the social work. Just cheap, desperate and probably “glamorous” publicity stunt.

Compare that to this. One of finest avant-garde our country has ever produced, was awarded ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ at the age of 97.. and how many cameras were flashing blinding light? Possibly, just one! And hence I got the pic, and hence you’re reading. There are very very few things published in newspapers which strike a cord really deep down, and that too instantaneously! This was definitely the one for me.

I’ll not say much. Rather you’ve to comment much, or say, or at the least think.
